Growing with your child

From the first tooth to the next chapter.

We care for children from the first tooth or first birthday, whichever comes first, through age 17.

Looking ahead

A one-page summary of their own mouth

When it is time to move on, your teen leaves with a clear record of fillings, sealants, wisdom teeth status, and retainers, ready for their next dentist.

Under 3

Lap exams, fluoride varnish, and unhurried answers about teething, bottles, and brushing.

3 to 5

First cleanings in the big chair and first x-rays when they are needed. We keep the explanation simple and the pace light.

6 to 12

Sealants on the six-year and twelve-year molars, an orthodontic check at age 7, and custom-fit sports mouthguards for $95.

13 to 17

Teens start taking charge of their own care. We keep an eye on wisdom teeth through x-rays and help them understand the decisions that come next.

When it is time to move on

  1. At the 16-year checkup, we bring it up.
  2. By the last checkup before the 18th birthday, we help you choose a family dentist from our short list in Lafayette, Youngsville, and Broussard.
  3. With your written OK, we send the x-rays and chart over.
  4. Your teen gets a one-page summary of their own mouth: fillings, sealants, wisdom teeth status, and retainers.
“When our daughter turned 17 they helped us pick a family dentist and had her x-rays sent before we even called.”
